Dr. Andrew Monteith MacConnell

Dr. Andrew Monteith MacConnell, DDS, is a highly skilled dentist who has been dedicated to providing exceptional care at the Center for Family and Implant Dentistry since 2014. With his passion for transforming and enhancing the lives of his patients, Dr. MacConnell finds immense joy in witnessing their improved oral health and overall well-being. His commitment extends beyond patient care as he cherishes working collaboratively with his staff and business associates, as well as mentoring aspiring dental professionals such as students and residents.

Beyond being a proficient Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Dr. MacConnell holds prestigious titles within the field of dentistry that speak volumes about his expertise. He is a distinguished Mid-West Implant Institute Fellow, showcasing his extensive knowledge and skillset in implant dentistry. Additionally, he proudly carries the title of Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) – an accomplishment that further solidifies his commitment to delivering top-notch implant treatments.

Dr. MacConnell's dedication to pursuing excellence is evident through the over 2,000 hours of continuing education he has undertaken throughout his career journey in various domains, such as oral implantology, IV sedation techniques, and orthodontics. He has also completed the rigorous Advanced Implant Institute in Puerto Rico's AAID Maxi Course in Oral Implantology and IV Sedation. This continuous learning approach reflects not only his thirst for knowledge but also ensures that he remains up to date with advancements in oral healthcare practices.

Dr. MacConnell has also successfully fulfilled the rigorous requirements necessary to be recognized as a Master Provider in Orthodontics by Fastbraces, showcasing his exceptional skills and expertise in this specialized field. Alongside his active participation in prestigious organizations such as AAID and ADA, Dr. MacConnell is also an esteemed member of the Tennessee Dental Association and the First District Society of Tennessee. It comes as no surprise that Dr. MacConnell's passion for healthcare began early on during his formative years, propelling him to continuously expand his knowledge and training across various facets of oral health throughout his career. 

While not immersed in patient care or pursuing continuing education opportunities, Dr. MacConnell finds solace in indulging himself with recreational activities like swimming under the umbrella of the Master Swimming Organization. He also loves traveling, visiting friends, and going for RV adventures - all while cherishing being a proud fur dad to six adoring companions. Furthermore, Dr. MacConnell boasts an impressive parallel career as a licensed real estate broker spanning four states over nearly four decades. Interestingly enough, Dr. MacConnell was named after his grandfather, who was born in 1881.
